Job description:
Build up the research infrastructure for extended microscopy/spectroscopy facilities of CRC. This will include validation of setups for work with solids, surfaces, and molecular-2D material heterostructures, the automatization of data acquirement, and study of their emerging response. Design and implement concepts for FAIR research data management according to rules of good scientific practice.
Requirements:
Master in Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
Desirable:
• Experimental expertise in research on molecular and 2D materials using ultra-high resolution electron or optical microscopy
• Knowledge of layered and 2D materials, low-dimensional materials, and molecular physics
• Research expertise as documented by scientific publications and presentations at international conferences
• excellent command of written and oral English .
• Expertise in automated data acquirement and handling of large data sets
• Knowledge of FAIR data management and advanced solutions for research data management
We are interested in a diverse research community and particularly encourage members of underrepresented groups to apply.
