About this role
As Lead Vendor Logistics Strategy & Network in the area of Vendor Strategy, Network & Pricing (Operational Excellence), you will own the design and continuous optimization of Lieferando’s external logistics system across Germany. You will be responsible for defining network structures, pricing frameworks, and efficiency models that enable scalable, high-performing vendor operations.
In this role, you will act as a center of excellence, translating business strategy into clear, data-driven frameworks and standards that are executed by Vendor Management teams. You will not manage vendors directly, but you will play a critical role in shaping how the system operates and performs at scale.
You will work closely with Vendor Management, Business Planning & Analysis, Product, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure a consistent, efficient, and cost-optimized logistics network.
This is a high-impact role with strong exposure to leadership, offering the opportunity to shape one of Germany’s largest delivery networks through system design, pricing logic, and operational excellence.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Strategy, Network & Pricing Ownership
* Define and own network design principles (zones, coverage, structural logic)
* Develop and maintain pricing and incentive frameworks for vendor operations
* Set efficiency guardrails and target cost structures (e.g. CPO logic)
* Translate strategy into scalable standards and playbooks
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
* Identify and drive network and cost optimization opportunities
* Analyze key drivers such as density, utilization, and routing efficiency
* Develop scenarios and simulations to support decision-making
* Continuously refine frameworks based on performance insights and market dynamics
Cross-Functional Enablement
* Partner with Vendor Management teams to ensure clear implementation of frameworks
* Collaborate with Business Planning & Analysis on forecasting and capacity planning inputs
* Best practice sharing with global functions and steering of discovery & implementation on local level
* Align with Finance on cost structures, pricing impact, and business cases
Governance & Rollout
* Lead rollout of network and pricing frameworks across regions
* Ensure consistency and standardization in how the system is applied
* Track adoption and effectiveness of implemented frameworks
* Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders
Reporting & Strategic Insights
* Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership
* Build and maintain models and dashboards for network and pricing performance
* Support strategic decision-making with scenario-based analysis
* Contribute to long-term planning and system evolution
What will you bring to the table?
* Strong professional experience of 4-6 years in logistics strategy, pricing, network optimization, or operations consulting
* Proven track record in designing scalable systems and frameworks
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data modeling, KPIs, and cost structures
* Strong interest in AI-driven analytics and automation, with the ability to leverage emerging tools to enhance network design, pricing strategies, and decision-making
* Ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable frameworks
* Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Operations teams
* Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution orientation
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience in fast-paced environments such as delivery, e-commerce, logistics, or mobility
* Structured, detail-oriented, and solution-driven working style
* Fluent in German and English
