NewCo is a critical infrastructure monitoring service that helps operators minimise outage time and frequency in their assets and infrastructure.
NewCo is in the process of carve-out from DNV and will establish itself as an independent company with the aim to transform its business model and grow significantly. To support this ambition, NewCo is seeking a strategic commercial director to own and drive all commercial workstreams. This role will be hired in DNV initially with the expectation that the successful applicant will transition to NewCo when the carve out process is complete.
Responsibilities will include:
Commercial Strategy & Go-to-Market: Define and refine the go-to-market strategy for NewCo, including positioning, segmentation, pricing principles, and commercial packaging.
New Business Development & Pipeline Growth: Build and convert a qualified pipeline (including DSOs and strategic partners), drive customer acquisition activities, and support negotiations of key customer contracts.
Commercial Operating Rhythm: Establish commercial KPIs, reporting cadence, forecast and pipeline review routines, and dashboards suitable for scale-up execution during carve-out.
Partnerships: Identify, develop and manage commercial partnerships (e.g., channel, technology, delivery partners) to accelerate growth.
Commercial Readiness for Transition: Prepare commercial processes, templates, and handover materials to support the transition to the future operating entity/EOR arrangement.
Monthly progress report (slide deck) to the CEO/steering group covering: pipeline, wins/losses, forecast, key customer/partner discussions, commercial risks, and next-month priorities.
Initial 90-day commercial plan (within the first 30 days) outlining target accounts, pipeline build plan, partner strategy, and required internal enablers.
Contracting and pricing toolkit: draft proposal templates, pricing guidance, and commercial terms recommendations (as applicable).
