We are seeking a hands-on Finance Director to join the global Finance team, oversee all finance activities in Germany and to lead finance projects across the company subsidiaries. The Finance Director is a senior company officer in Germany, with signatory rights, and plays a key role in both regional and global financial leadership.
This is a managerial role with two direct reports, reporting directly to the CFO. The position follows a hybrid work model, with at least three days per week in the Hamburg office.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all financial activities in the territory, including income, expenses, reporting, and business proposals.
* Serve as a member of the Hamburg site management team.
* Act as a member of the global Finance leadership team.
* Own and lead cross-company financial assignments.
* Represent the company in financial matters with authorities, auditors, legal consultants, vendors, and customers.
* Support business leaders across Commercial, R&D, and Operations on finance-related topics.
* Implement financial processes, best practices, and KPIs to support company goals.
Requirements
* Experience in the Tech, Software, or Fintech industry.
* Broad knowledge of accounting, tax and business principles.
* Proven experience as a hands-on finance leader.
* Ability to deep dive into daily financial activities and resolve complex issues.
* Experience in financial analysis.
* Hands-on experience managing end-of-year audits in global entities.
* Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
Advantages
* Strong SaaS-related knowledge, including management reporting, metrics, analysis, and KPIs such as ARR, LTV, CAC, and recurring versus non-recurring revenue.
* Experience building and executing a SaaS-based business model and related applications.
* Experience working with NetSuite.
* Experience with CRM, billing, and payment gateway applications such as Salesforce.
