Responsibilities Take overall ownership of the in-vehicle digital assistant (conversational interfaces and proactive assistance) for the global markets across company’s brands, act as functional owner for end-to-end speech functionality, ensuring requirements consistency across smart cockpit platforms and cloud services, define the product vision, functional scope, and roadmap for the digital assistant, aligning with brand UX and feature strategy Monitor competitor benchmarks, user feedback, and emerging AI and speech technology trends to guide future enhancements Prioritize development items and work closely with software development, UX/UI, and speech technology teams to deliver incremental releases and ensure an outstanding customer experience Create and maintain product, system and design requirements incl. change management Work closely with internal teams and external partners globally to ensure the integration of the digital assistant solution as part of the overall smart cockpit platform, support integration and validation activities, including definition of acceptance criteria, KPIs, and usability test plans Define the test and validation strategy and plan, lead the creation of test methods and standards Issue management, in-depth technical root cause investigations and drive issue resolution internally and with external partners Ensure that launch quality is robust over lifetime and fulfilling customer expectations, represent the product in internal alignment rounds, partner discussions, and vehicle program milestones Ensure compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, and market specific regulations for voice data and digital assistants (e.g., GDPR, UNECE R155/R156) Profile Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Linguistics, Human–Computer Interaction, or a related technical field 5-10 years of working experience in the infotainment/smart cockpit domain, preferably at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 Proven experience (3+ years) as product owner, function owner, or feature responsible in infotainment, digital UX, or connected services Solid understanding of speech recognition, NLP/NLU frameworks, and embedded system integration Experience with automotive voice platforms (e.g., Cerence, Alexa Auto SDK, Google Automotive Services, or OEM proprietary assistants) Background in agile development and ability to convert user and business needs into technical specifications Willingness to travel occasionally to visit suppliers/partners and other company facilities globally Fluent in English, knowledge of German or another major automotive market language is an advantage Valid driving license Benefits Experience in exciting and international projects Continuous salary development On-the-job training and language courses Appreciation, motivation and commitment Location: Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Motor Vehicle Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
