Field-Based Doors Engineer
What You Will Do
As a Field-Based Doors Engineer, you’ll service, install, and repair door systems across the UK. You’ll work in diverse environments—schools, retail spaces, warehouses, manufacturing sites, and residential buildings—ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. You’ll contribute to our Zero Harm culture and support team performance through technical excellence and excellent customer service.
How You Will Do It
* Service, install, repair, and fault-find on a range of door systems
* Apply risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices
* Use electrical knowledge to support diagnostics and repairs
* Complete service reports and handover documentation accurately
* Collaborate with planning and operations to manage workload and priorities
* Deliver a first-class customer experience through problem-solving and clear communication
* Participate in the Out-of-Hours (OOH) call-out rota as required

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Proven experience servicing, repairing, and installing door systems
* Strong communication and relationship skills
* Reliable, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay overnight
* Familiarity with safe systems of work and PPE usage
Preferred:
* Intermediate to advanced fault-finding and commissioning skills
* Health & Safety certifications (IPAF, PASMA, competency card)
* Electrical qualification
* Ability to read technical drawings and manage complex installations
* Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PDF) for reports
