The candidate will work on our pipeline project in Germany and will be responsible for the following duties:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the project safety program for their respective locations on the job site.
With the support of their staffs of Safety Inspectors/Officers, the Safety Supervisors will be a resource to site line management and assist them in administering the safety program and in educating employees and supervisors in safe work practices.
Develops a good working knowledge of local safety and fire regulations.
Plan and perform HSE inspections to verify that all project parties fully comply with all HSE measures as described in the Project HSE Plan and procedures, and develops reports for management
Has a working knowledge of hazardous gases and chemicals, including the appropriate detection devices.
Applies established policies, procedures and work practices to promote the Safety Program, and administers assigned functions to aid in this overall responsibility.
Administers and coordinates, as necessary, medical and emergency first aid services and programs
Supports hearings on matters involving the projects safety and accident prevention program.
Investigates injuries, conditions, and incidents that do, or could, involve actual or potential liability.
Fill in the monthly HSE report and weekly accident statistics;
Assists project supervision in the inspection of equipment, facilities, and work in progress.
Requirements
Technical diploma and/or degree
Working knowledge of HSE Company policies and procedures and international HSE requirements (knowledge of German legislation is a plus)
Computer Literate preferably with experience in using Microsoft Outlook, Internet, Excel and/or Word Applications
Team player with leadership, motivational and technical skills.
English and German language
