Responsibilities:
1. Collaboration on the development of new processes for the galvanic and chemical treatment of surfaces in our research laboratory. This includes, in particular, work on processes in the area of cathodic corrosion protection
2. Planning of test series and their implementation on a laboratory scale
3. Analysis of electrolytes as well as chemical and physical characterization of the deposited coatings (coating thickness, coating composition, corrosion resistance, brightness, gloss, etc.)
4. Transfer of the new processes to the pilot plant scale
Qualifications:
5. Degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, materials science or related fields with reference to surface technology
6. Interest in topics related to electroplated coatings
7. Experience in basic laboratory operations (pipetting, titration, mixing, etc.)
8. Good computer skills (MS-Office)
9. Independent working style and analytical skills
10. Initiative, ability to work in a team and creativity
11. The internship / thesis is a compulsory part of your studies and you are available for a period of at least 5 months, but you are welcome to stay longer
