About the role:
We are a reputable scientific publisher committed to connecting with diverse individuals within the research community through our various online platforms. To help us manage our constantly evolving marketing activities to support diverse strategies we are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Online Marketing Operations team as Marketing Manager SEA In this role you are responsible for seamless management of paid search campaigns from consulting, planning, deployment, monitoring as well as continuous optimization to reach KPI goals.
Role responsibilities:
* Provide advice during the planning process, optimise and manage deployment of best in class search advertising campaigns in close cooperation with peers in Marketing Planning and within the SEA team
* Manage, review, and perform daily account responsibilities associated with Google Ads, Microsoft Bing, Yahoo!, and possibly other search platforms
* Maintain and monitor keyword bids, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics
* Understand and manage technical set up of ad accounts (e.g. Tags, GA Linking, etc.)
* Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, bid strategies and other facets of paid search in accordance with the respective goals
* Monitor campaign success based on KPIs, adapt and improve iteratively in agile manner and performance marketing approach
* Identify opportunities and pro-actively nurture search advertising capabilities beyond current state
* Keep pace with search engine advertising and PPC industry trends and developments
* Maintain and improve Google Ads Scripts, continuous work on further automation potential
Experience:
* 3+ years of proven experience in successful management of search advertising campaigns of medium to large scale accounts
* International working experience on agency or company side with globally distributed customers in B2B and B2C
* Proven track record of successfully managed search advertising campaigns with outstanding results
* Expert and up-to-date knowledge in search advertising, digital marketing, as well as marketing in general
Requirements:
* Outstanding knowledge of popular SEA ad platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft AdCenter, Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Editor, etc); expert knowledge of standard office software
* Basic Coding skills and experience with Google Ads scripts are a must
* Excellent analytical, organisational, project management, and time management skills
* Mindset to learn new tools and approaches and the ability to quickly apply this knowledge to our SEA efforts
* Proficiency in managing moderate to large scale SEA accounts in a variety of different business verticals
* Knowledge of the Research Publishing industry is a plus
* Problem solving mindset, thinking outside of the box
* Bachelor or Master degree in related fields
* Passion for search and online marketing
* Outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems
* Attention to detail and confidence to make decisions
* High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
* Data-driven mindset
