Project Director (Construction) – Frankfurt, Germany

Salary: €120,000-€150,000 per annum + package

With a strong reputation for innovation, safety, and timely delivery, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Project Director to lead major construction projects in the Frankfurt region.
Position Summary
The Project Director will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a senior leadership role requiring significant experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end project delivery of large-scale construction projects (€50M+), from pre‑construction through to completion and handover.
* Manage project teams including project managers, site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
* Develop and control project budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies.
* Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and quality requirements.
* Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
* Resolve project issues and risks promptly to avoid delays and cost overruns.
* Provide strategic direction and support for business development in the Frankfurt region.
* Report regularly to senior management on project performance, risks, and financials.
* Willingness to spend about 80 % of your time on project sites within the Frankfurt region, with occasional visits to NL HQ.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director‑level role.
* Proven track record in delivering complex commercial or infrastructure projects in Germany or similar markets.
* In‑depth knowledge of German construction laws, building codes, and permitting processes.
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi‑million‑euro budgets.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken) – mandatory. German speaking beneficial.
