In this environment, success depends on optimizing prices to balance short-term margins with long-term growth, employing strategic approaches considering reactions from customers, hotels, competitors, and regulatory bodies.
We are looking for a senior leader to craft Agoda’s global Pricing strategy and execute it, using a wide range of tactics and tools, from price display to machine learning algorithms. The role involves close coordination with senior management, marketing, and product teams, while managing and expanding a team of talented pricing managers and analysts.
What You Would Be Doing
* Work with C-level executives and internal stakeholders to craft a global pricing strategy aligned with Agoda’s strategic priorities.
* Manage a multi-million dollar budget and provide visibility to internal stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Product team to build tools for executing and monitoring pricing actions and improving price display across channels.
* Work with the Market Development team to gather benchmarking data and respond to market moves from competitors and hotel partners.
* Design and deploy pricing campaigns balancing short-term financial goals with long-term strategy.
* Lead, inspire, and expand a team of analysts and campaign managers through hiring and development.
What You Need to Be Good At to Succeed
* Experience articulating strategic issues and negotiating with C-level executives; strategy consulting experience is a plus.
* Excellent analytical skills and love for data.
* Ability to foster cooperation across teams and nationalities.
* Proven people management skills, including hiring and developing talent.
* P&L management experience.
* Entrepreneurial spirit and a get-things-done attitude.
* Exposure to IT and Product Development.
