Location: Remote (Europe) Type: Freelance / Contractor Start: ASAP or with max. 2 weeks notice Rate: €500-€650 (depending on experience) Overview We're looking for an experienced freelance QA Automation Engineer to support a client project focused on end-to-end quality across mobile, API, performance, and accessibility testing. You'll work in a modern TypeScript-based automation stack and CI/CD-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation tests using Appium, WebdriverIO, and Cucumber (TypeScript) Execute cross-device testing on BrowserStack, integrated with GitHub Actions Build and maintain API integration tests using Supertest and Cucumber (TypeScript) within Azure DevOps pipelines Perform load testing using k6 and analyze performance results Conduct accessibility testing via BrowserStack Support manual verification where needed to ensure release quality Requirements Proven experience as a freelance/contract QA engineer Strong hands-on expertise with Appium, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, and TypeScript Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps) Solid understanding of API testing (Supertest or similar) Experience with performance testing tools (k6 preferred) Familiarity with cross-browser/device testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack) Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams Available to start immediately Nice to Have Experience with accessibility standards and testing practices Strong debugging and test optimization skills= If you're a self-sufficient QA contractor who can quickly integrate into a fast-moving environment, this role is a strong fit.
