The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Financial Accountant role will make an impact:
1. Ensure accurate statutory accounting and tax reporting in collaboration with outsourced accounting services
2. Maintain and enhance internal financial controls in line with SOX and audit requirements
3. Act as a local expert for payroll, pensions, and benefits, liaising with HR and tax authorities
4. Prepare payroll forecasts and European headcount reports using workforce planning tools
5. Support internal and external audits, and implement process improvements based on findings
6. Analyze key balance sheet accounts and support capital expenditure reporting
7. Deliver insightful financial data to management and contribute to strategic decision-making
8. Participate in cross-functional finance projects and collaborate with global teams
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
9. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or degree as “Bilanzbuchhalter”
10. 5+ years of experience in accounting, in a multinational setting or in a finance consulting environment, preferably with one of the Big Four
11. Strong understanding of HGB, US-GAAP and financial reporting
12. Good skills in MS-Office, especially in Excel
13. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
14. Fluent in German and English
