Legal Counsel (m/w/d) Energierecht – Power and Air Condition Solution Management GmbH | PASM (a 100% subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG)
PASM is the energy supplier for the Deutsche Telekom Group in Germany, ensuring the availability of critical infrastructures. Its core business is the planning, configuration and deployment of energy-based products for the secure operation of critical infrastructure systems in the information and communication technology (ITK) sector. The company focuses on procurement, supply and delivery of energy and is committed to expanding renewable energies sustainably.
Team and Role
The Legal Counsel is embedded in the Energy Procurement & Law team. The Law & Regulations subteam handles all legal aspects related to PASM, especially in the energy sector. The role involves providing legal advice, energy‑tax structuring, steering internal and external legal counsel, evaluating strategic implications, and various other tasks with a broad scope ranging from electricity supply, procurement, and meter operation.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and evaluate case law and legislation, assess legal risks, and develop recommendations.
* Create and review complex contracts, negotiate with customers, partners, and suppliers, and protect company interests.
* Develop process strategies, manage court proceedings, and steer contracted lawyers within the assigned area.
* Resolve complex legal questions and produce legal opinions on intricate or cross‑cutting matters.
* Lead strategically oriented projects.
Qualifications
* Studium (Rechtswissenschaft) or equivalent professional training with relevant specialization or several years of experience in legal services.
* Extensive experience in classical and agile cooperation forms.
* Proven leadership in strategically oriented projects.
* Expertise in drafting legal opinions and documents.
* In‑depth knowledge of contract law and legal advice.
* Expert in negotiation and legal analysis.
* Legal consulting in the area of energy law and energy taxation, and deriving strategic implications.
* Monitoring and evaluating case law and legislation on the energy market and assessing legal implications for PASM.
* Developing recommendations for PASM as an energy supplier, meter operator, balancing entity, and redispatch.
* Expertise in contract design in the energy sector such as EFET contracts, PPAs, and electricity supply contracts.
* Passion for legal and regulatory design of the energy transition for one of Germany’s largest infrastructure companies.
