About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and driven Business Development Power Manager to join a leading global player in the data centre industry. Based in Frankfurt with a hybrid work model (2 days in office per week), you will be instrumental in securing and optimizing power infrastructure to support our rapid expansion across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
This role is critical in ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-effective power solutions for our data centre developments. You will collaborate with utilities, regulators, and internal teams to secure grid connections, negotiate power contracts, and drive sustainable energy strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning, sourcing, and negotiation of grid connections for new and existing data centre projects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with TSOs (Transmission System Operators), DNOs (Distribution Network Operators), and energy suppliers across the DACH region.
Assess grid capacity, regulatory requirements, and market trends to optimize power procurement strategies.
Secure long-term power solutions, including renewable energy PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), on-site generation, and battery storage opportunities.
Work closely with development, engineering, and finance teams to align power strategy with business objectives.
Monitor energy market developments, policy changes, and emerging technologies to ensure competitive advantage.
Manage risk assessments and compliance with local energy regulations.
What We’re Looking For
~5+ years of experience in power procurement, grid connections, or energy infrastructure, ideally within data centres, energy, or power sectors.
~ Deep understanding of DACH energy markets, grid infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks.
~ Proven track record in negotiating large-scale power agreements with utilities and energy providers.
~ Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse and structure complex energy deals.
~ Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
~ Ability to work independently in a hybrid model while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
