Financial operations manager

A leading company in Luxembourg is seeking a seasoned professional to manage the day-to-day operations of their accounting department. This role involves overseeing bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, as well as supervising a small team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee the day-to-day bookkeeping and bank reconciliations;
* Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (interim accounts, BCL reports, VAT returns, etc.);
* Prepare eCDF reports;
* Draft annual financial statements;
* Review payment orders and follow up;
* Review delegated tasks to junior/senior accountants;
* Follow up on audit queries;
* Manage and develop a small team in the accounting department and be responsible for coordinating, reviewing, and validating work delivered by the team;
* Regular interaction with clients;
* Lead internal projects and stay up-to-date with industry developments;
* Liaise with senior accounting managers and internal teams.

Requirements:

* Degree in Accounting (BTS, Bachelor's degree or Graduate/Master's degree) with professional certification (OEC, ACCA, CPA) an advantage;
* At least 5 years' experience in accounting or audit environment with solid knowledge of accounting rules and principles;
* Extensive exposure to Lux GAAP, IFRS, and Consolidation;
* Well-organized, rigorous, and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines;
* Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and display a positive attitude;
* Delegate and review tasks given to junior accountants;
* Excellent command of English language;
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
