We are now looking for a Director Global Network Connectivity (m/f/d) to lead the design, modernization, and operational excellence of our Global WAN and VPN environments across multiple regions. You will oversee the technical design, implementation, and optimization of our global WAN, VPN, L2L, and any other Connectivity technologies. In this hands-on role, you will manage infrastructure performance and cost efficiency, lead cross-regional network projects, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners. You will play a central part in ensuring network availability, security, and scalability — supporting the global business with robust and modern connectivity. Your assignments Define and evolve the WAN network strategy in collaboration with the VP Global Network Services and Enterprise Network Architects. Lead modernization efforts by introducing cloud-managed solutions, Cloud Routing and Global Network Routing, SD-WAN, and automation tools. Ensure high network availability and optimal performance through continuous monitoring and proactive optimization. Maintain compliance with global security standards and actively monitor for threats or vulnerabilities. Collaborate with business units to understand network requirements and ensure scalable infrastructure planning. Lead the execution of complex network projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Manage and monitor WAN budgets across regions, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with strategic financial goals. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and ROI analyses for network-related initiatives. Manage global vendor relationships to ensure service levels, pricing competitiveness, and contract compliance. Mentor and support a global team of WAN engineers and operational support staff and align network initiatives with broader IT and business priorities through cross-functional collaboration. Your profile Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CWNA) preferred. At least 10 years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure, including at least 5 years in WAN management roles. Proven ability to manage IT/network budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. Deep technical expertise in WAN environments, including SDWAN, VPN, SaaS Security providers, cloud-managed network solutions, and network security. Strong project management experience with a track record of delivering complex, multi-site initiatives (Agile, PMP, or similar frameworks). Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
