KG Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Industrial Steam Turbines & Generators Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Technical Back Office Coordinator (f/m/d) Mechanical Commissioning you take end-to-end responsibility for the mechanical commissioning of industrial steam turbine projects — ensuring technical excellence from the office with full system visibility. You will take responsibility in coordinating all necessary activities with the responsible internal & external partners (such as vendors, customers, field service engineers) to resolve the commissioning problems & warranty claims. Doing so, you will act as technical interface for site commissioning management and provide technical support to internal and external mechanical commissioning engineers. In this role, you will handle the resource planning and coordination of staff in collaboration with Project Manager. Based in the office, you act as the central technical authority — enabling fast decisions, clear priorities, and effective problem resolution across multiple sites.How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Define and safeguard mechanical commissioning standards across multiple turbine sites and improve customer satisfaction (NPS)
5. In case of problems and technical questions, provide technical support and resolve any open topics with your expertise
6. Ensure qualified and in time staffing of the site staff
7. Reduce technical risks, delays, and warranty costs through early technical intervention during warranty phase
8. Work closely with the General Project Manager in actively defending claim and support the Project Manager in resolution of customer issues
What You Bring
9. Completed studies in mechanical engineering or equivalent as well as several years of experience in mechanical commissioning of industrial steam turbines / in power generation business, for example as a Field Service Engineer
10. Advanced knowledge of steam turbine projects site erection and commissioning methodology and technical know-how
11. Experience in project execution of different types of power plants in project/site teams or equivalent site management experience as Lead mechanical commissioning engineer or site manager
12. Commercial awareness and familiarization with SE tools (SAP -ATLAS, MS Project; MS Office etc.) is an advantage
13. Fluent in English and good German Skills
14. Willingness to travel (25%)
