Your area of work:
The storage infrastructure of our trading, clearing and risk systems is crucial for the sustainability of our Derivatives and Cash markets Eurex & Xetra. In your role, you will be responsible for the management and administration of the Derivatives & Cash storage infrastructure covering the complete value chain from development to production environments. This includes system installation, maintenance, and administration of the Fibre Channel Switches and disk arrays in the Storage Area Network.
Your responsibilities:
1. Daily administration of the storage environment, monitoring and troubleshooting of issues.
2. Configuration of storage arrays with focus on Linux Operating Systems, implement Zoning on Fibre Channel infrastructure
3. Capacity management of storage systems
4. Work close together with external support and manufactures for design, setup and maintenance of storage environments
5. Support of interesting and innovative IT projects
6. Willingness to work on shifts, support on-call duty and conduct configuration changes outside of production times, with a respective compensation
Your profile:
7. Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
8. 2+ years’ experience in storage system administration, best in a mission critical environment
9. Expertise in common storage systems and technologies, ideally experiences with Hitachi and NetApp storage systems, as well as with Brocade Fibre Channel switches
10. Good communication skills, ability to work in an international team
11. Willingness to learn new technologies, supported by the company
12. Proficiency in German and English
