Team Lead B2B Sales & Key Account Management (Cloud & Hosting) (all genders) Contabo Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany We are looking to fill a full-time, permanent Team Lead B2B Sales & Key Account Management (Cloud & Hosting) position at the earliest possible date. We operate remote-first within Germany, but if you live close to one of our locations (Munich, Cologne, Hamburg or Berlin), you may choose a hybrid or fully on-site arrangement. Responsibilities You will take on a central role in scaling our B2B business, focusing on acquiring new customers while systematically developing existing customer relationships with real growth potential and leading a small dedicated team. At the beginning you will immerse yourself in our existing customer base, work closely with the team, and participate in QBRs with our most important key customers. Based on these insights you will define clear Ideal Customer Profiles for new customer acquisition, identify sales patterns, and gradually build a robust outbound pipeline. Conduct structured sales conversations, understand technical requirements and decision‑making structures of contacts, and guide new customers from first interaction through to a stable setup. You will deeply understand customers’ use cases and position our portfolio—Bare Metal Servers, Cloud VPS, and Object Storage—as scalable solutions with global availability. You will involve relevant customer‑side stakeholders, coordinate internally with your two Key Account Managers, Support, and Operations. Parallelly you will identify win‑back opportunities among lost customers, develop systematic upselling approaches for key accounts, and use QBRs as a tool for growth and long‑term retention. You will work consistently data‑ and process‑driven: support CRM setup and expansion, maintain and structure the pipeline, use KPIs to prioritize activities and ensure reliable forecasts. Your insights will contribute to creating a Sales Playbook that establishes repeatable patterns, standards, and processes in B2B sales. In close collaboration with Product, Operations, and Support you will feed back market and customer insights, identify improvement opportunities, and help evolve our offering and sales setup. Your goal is a scalable, clean B2B sales model with sustainable growth, not short‑term, one‑off deals. Qualifications Must haves: Proven experience in active B2B new customer acquisition, including outbound sales, discovery, and independent closing in an international environment Experience in the cloud and hosting industry Experience selling complex IT or technology solutions (e.g. cloud, hosting, infrastructure, platforms) Structured, data‑driven way of working with clear sales processes (pipeline management, qualification, forecasting) Confident handling of CRM systems and relevant sales KPIs Ability to translate technical solutions into compelling business cases and decision frameworks Leadership experience Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken Should haves: Routine in working with buying‑center structures and multiple decision‑makers Experience with QBRs, win‑back approaches, or systematic upselling in a B2B context Experience in building or further developing sales standards and playbooks Prospects At Contabo we are in a constant state of change.
