Langen near Frankfurt is the home of our Headquarters and a control centre branch. Your tasks
Delivering theoretical and practical instruction as well as independently preparing materials and teaching aids, such as training manuals, educational resources, assignments and exams/assessments
Ensuring the quality of Initial and continuation training, developing and updating exam questions, and correcting and evaluating exams/assessments
Serving as the subject-matter contact for participants for assigned courses and proactively addressing social conflicts in a professional manner, contributing to their resolution
Developing measures for the targeted support of individual course participants and identifying areas of development and potential as well as assessing participants' capabilities
Independently developing DFS learning objectives, content and teaching methods for ATCO training and development frameworks, including instructional materials
Contributing to the advancement and modernisation of the training portfolio through methodological, didactic or technical development projects
Supporting other departments in theoretical and practical training at the DFS Academy and maintaining and expanding your professional and instructional expertise
What makes you stand out
Fully trained air traffic controller with extensive professional experience in the role, including several years' experience as on-the-job and simulator instructor
Extensive cross-unit experience and knowledge of operational procedures and systems in air traffic services
Outstanding level of methodological and didactic knowledge, demonstrated through instructor qualifications (such as OJTI, advanced instructor qualification)
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German, or readiness to actively acquire German language skills (to B1 level)
High level of educational commitment to guiding our trainees as they enter a completely new and challenging professional environment
Highly developed interpersonal skills, flexibility as regards duties and tasks, and a willingness to learn new subject areas
