*Head of FP&A (m/f/d) – Healthcare (Private Equity-Backed)*
Location: Nuremberg, Germany (Hybrid)
Budget: Flexible – starting from €140,000 base
I am exclusively supporting a private equity-backed healthcare portfolio based in Nuremberg, Germany, in hiring a Head of FP&A (m/f/d).
This is a key leadership position in a growing and complex business with more than 100 legal entities. The company is planning for a exit and needs a strong finance leader who can improve performance, support better decision-making, and bring structure to financial reporting and data management.
You will report directly to the CFO and lead a team. You will act as a close business partner to the CFO and take over many of their responsibilities when they are unavailable. In the long term, you could also step into the CFO role – Deputy CFO.
A key part of the role will include supporting the integration of newly acquired companies into the group’s finance and reporting structures. You will also help improve data quality and insights.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, analytical finance professional with strong FP&A and controlling experience in a complex, multi-entity environment - someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and driving change.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
* Partner with management and regional finance teams to drive performance, profitability, and value creation
* Support the CFO in group-wide financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes
* Coordinate monthly business reviews, forecast updates, and deep-dive performance analyses
* Maintain and enhance KPI dashboards, including Power BI and Tableau usage for data processing, visualization, and structured data management
* Drive implementation and adoption of tools to improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and actionable insights
* Leverage IBM Cognos (VEGA) to produce insightful management reports and mid-term planning tools
* Drive M&A integration and track investment performance post-acquisition
* Act as key interface to group-level finance stakeholders and private equity sponsors
* Deputize for the CFO and take on broader finance responsibilities as part of succession planning
Your Profile
* Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or similar discipline
* Proven leadership experience in a controlling or FP&A role, ideally in a multi-site, service-based business
* Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and hands-on execution skills
* Proficient in MS Excel; experience with SAP BW, IBM Cognos, and Power BI is highly desirable
* Fluent in German and English (written & spoken)
