Job Title: Non-Financial Risk Manager – Cross Risk Non-Financial Risk Management
Location: London

You will work with the Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM), an independent 2nd Line of Defence function, whose purpose is to ensure that the banks Non-Financial Risk exposure is adequately managed in-line with the group wide risk appetite and NFRM framework.
To achieve this the NFRM function requires Risk Managers with the right balance of experience, seniority and tools to assess complex risks and intervene where they lie outside the bank's risk appetite. A comprehensive, integrated, simple and easy to use NFR Framework with supporting technology that assists risk identification, assessment and remediation and a strong understanding of the business combined with regular engagement which would allow NFRM to provide support, review and challenge in line with the 3 Lines of Defence Model (3LoD).
You will be joining the NFR Portfolio Risk Management team, a team focused on enabling proactive oversight and management of the Bank’s NFR group risk profile. This team comprises of NFR Group Governance, Reporting, Insights and Cross Risk Manager Coverage.

Your key responsibilities
7. You will support overseeing and monitoring the cross-risk portfolio with a focus on Legal Loss outflow at the Group Risk Profile level, leading independent challenge activities as defined by the Risk Management Frameworks to ensure confidence in the quality of NFR outputs leveraged for decision-making.
8. You will lead group level read across and deep dive reviews, collaborating with risk type controllers and divisional control officers to drive proactive risk identification, assessment and remediation plans across the bank for presentation into the Group Non-Financial Risk Committee.
9. You will coordinate / provide timely and accurate updates into Quarterly and Annual Group reporting requirements.
10. You will collaborate with the wider Portfolio Risk Management teams to perform analysis, produce senior management materials, presentation preparation and content development as required.
11. You will build and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders within NFRM and across the Bank including risk type controllers and divisional control officers.
12. You will participate in the continuous improvement of the Portfolio Risk Management team by being an active collaborator and trusted partner.
Your skills and experience
13. Understanding of Non-Financial Risk Management principles and practices with relevant experience gained in first line risk & control role, second line risk function or Audit.
14. Understanding of Legal provisions and how they feed risk and capital processes with relevant experience gained in first line risk & control role, second line risk function or Audit.
15. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and a desire to work collaboratively to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 lines of defense (3LoD) model.
16. Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to distil complex content into simple messaging to senior audiences.
17. Demonstrate flexibility in handling multiple tasks, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize.
18. Excellent team player with strong work ethics, combined with a strategic and proactive work approach, able to motivate others and work independently and familiar with all MS Office products
