Job Description The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Key Account Manager for Data Center Segment in SIBG, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Develop and execute territory-specific business plans aligned with EMEA goals, targeting Data Center growth. Identify, build, and grow relationships with key accounts and defined channel/kitting partners across Europe. Collaborate with country sales reps and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Technical, Supply Chain) to facilitate initial orders, demand planning, and customer support. Represent 3M’s EMD portfolio (Cable Accessory, Sensored Cable Accessory, Locating & Marking), articulating value propositions and application benefits. Conduct product demonstrations and training for internal teams, customers, and partners; mentor peers and junior sales staff as a subject matter expert. Maintain accurate account and opportunity data in CRM systems and ensure timely reporting of forecasts, pipeline status (SFDC), and market intelligence. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback; stay current on product knowledge and sales techniques to refine strategy. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A technical/vocational degree may be considered based on experience. Substantial sales experience, preferably in the electrical, industrial, or data center sectors. Proven success in managing key accounts and achieving sales targets. Strong influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills. Experience working with international customers and cross-functional teams. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Fluent in English. Willingness to travel across Europe. Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Demonstrated proficiency in Salesforce (CRM) for managing leads, opportunities, and strategic customer accounts, supporting data-driven sales planning and pipeline visibility. Proven experience in the Data Center market, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics, customer needs, and solution-based selling in high-tech infrastructure environments. Fluency in additional European language.
