As a company in its formative stages, we are looking for a visionary and technical leader to join the founding team as Chief Product Officer (CPO) & Co-Founder. This is a rare opportunity to define the product identity of a high-potential startup and lead the "0-to-1" development of AI-driven educational tools.
About the Role
The Chief Product Officer (CPO) will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy, leading AI product development, ensuring user-centric design, building and mentoring the product team, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and contributing as a co-founder.
Responsibilities
Define and Execute Product Strategy:
* Develop a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the company’s mission to revolutionize educational grading.
* Translate the founding vision into actionable technical requirements and a scalable product architecture.
Lead AI Product Development:
* Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial ideation and prototyping to full-scale market launch.
* Prioritize features based on technical feasibility, market demand, and the unique capabilities of Generative AI.
Ensure User-Centric Design & Pedagogy:
* Recruit and orchestrate a group of teachers and university professor pilot users, gather their input and prioritize features to releases in close collaboration with the CTO.
* Direct the conversational (ChatGPT-like) UI/UX strategy to ensure the platform is intuitive for both educators and students.
* Integrate feedback from educational institutions to ensure AI corrections meet pedagogical standards for fairness and objectivity.
Build and Mentor the Product Team:
* Recruit and lead a high-performing team of product managers, designers, and researchers.
* Foster a culture of rapid experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Partner closely with our Chief Technology Officer to align the product specification with the technical implementation.
* Partner closely with the Chief Revenue Officer to align product development with go-to-market strategies and customer acquisition goals.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the robust implementation of LLMs while maintaining high security and GDPR standards.
Market Intelligence & Innovation:
* Analyze emerging trends in EdTech and Generative AI to maintain a competitive edge.
* Act as the primary advocate for the product, representing INSEGA’s innovation at industry events and to key stakeholders.
Contribute as a Co-Founder:
* Take an active role in shaping the company's long-term vision, culture, and ethical AI framework.
* Commit significant time and energy to support the startup’s early growth and investor relations.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated success as a CPO, VP of Product, or Head of Product in a fast-growing tech startup.
* Experience taking a digital product from concept to a successful market launch, preferably in the B2B or SaaS space.
* Deep understanding of LLMs, Generative AI applications, and the challenges of deploying AI-first products.
* A strong background or passionate interest in the education sector (EdTech) is highly desirable.
* Exceptional ability to balance short-term MVP delivery with long-term strategic product goals.
* Fluency in German and English (essential).
