OverviewJoin to apply for the Custom Consulting Lead role at Microsoft.ResponsibilitiesLead and orchestrate customer value through complex deal making, tackle customers' major business challenges, and accelerate career growth by leveraging cutting-edge solutions to drive transformational projects.Partner with local leaders and their sales teams, establishing strong partnerships and driving a consistent Cross-CSA approach aligned to company strategy, applying a regional approach to meet customer needs. Engage with stakeholders including SPT and Area MCAPSSales teams.Bring impactful technology and industry insights into customer engagements, close deals with customers, and coach internally on how to do this. Leverage deep sales and delivery experience to drive a consultative sale and build trust with C-level executives.Influence Microsoft’s strategic direction across markets. Lead a virtual cross-organizational team on strategic projects and high-impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value, leveraging CSA assets and consulting IP to deliver customer transformation.Participate in sales planning, orchestration, and deal closure by leveraging Microsoft’s sales methodology. Shape and sell custom consulting solutions with technical acumen that maximize Microsoft investments.Provide deal coaching and cross-area learning to create value for customers and wider Microsoft teams. Collaborate with the wider account team to drive consumption, putting AI at the forefront of activities.Continuously build sales expertise and Transformative solutions knowledge to support customers and the wider One Microsoft team, investing in personal development.QualificationsStrong experience in solution-based selling across one or more CSAs. Ability to position cross-CSA offerings and align customer needs with the portfolio.Experience selling into commercial or public sector accounts, with understanding of industry trends and challenges. Ability to tailor solutions to industry-specific needs and contribute to account planning.Experience interacting with senior stakeholders and navigating C-level relationships. Able to drive executive meetings and articulate the value proposition of solutions.Exposure to consulting or solution architecture practices. Ability to collaborate with technical and consulting teams to develop and propose customer solutions.Experience driving the sales cycle for digital transformation initiatives. Proven ability to drive value conversations and align solutions with transformation goals.Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field with proven industry sales experience in commercial or public sector, or Master’s Degree with strong technology sales background in similar sectors.Substantial experience in consulting solution sales and delivery is highly desirable.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
