SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PLANNER
Location: Wesseling, Germany
Contract duration: 12 months (Renewable)

Project: Construction – Chemical Plant
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our on‑site planning team in Wesseling, supporting a large Energy & Chemicals construction programme. The role requires strong technical planning expertise and the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain accurate schedules, reporting, and progress measurement. This is a full‑time, site‑based position.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce daily/weekly/monthly project reports and review inputs from junior planners.
* Prepare histograms, baseline schedules, S‑curves, progress reports, and critical path analysis.
* Maintain CPM logic, analyse schedule deviations, and recommend mitigation actions.
* Review EPC contractor planning submissions, including schedules, progress measurement, risk analysis, and productivity.
* Validate monthly physical progress claims and assess contractor resource adequacy and deployment.
* Identify and communicate variances between approved schedules and actual progress.
* Work with large, resource‑loaded Primavera P6 schedules and apply earned value principles.
* Interface with project managers, engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to gather accurate project information.
* Contribute to planning procedures including Basis of Schedule, progress measurement methods, reporting, and trending.
Experience and Qualifications
* 10+ years’ hands‑on planning experience in CapEx Energy, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, or large industrial construction.
* Expert user of Primavera P6 with experience managing complex, resource‑loaded schedules.
* Strong understanding of schedule risk analysis, progress measurement, and contractor performance assessment.
* Skilled in analysing contractor submissions, progress claims, productivity rates, and schedule integrity.
* Effective communicator with experience in multidisciplinary, multicultural environments.
* Experience within EPC/EPCM project structures is advantageous.
* Fluent in English; German beneficial.
