Administrator (m/f/d) Network Infrastructure - IT and Medical Technology division
THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL MAGDEBURG
The University Hospital Magdeburg is an institution under public law (A.ö.R.) and, together with the Medical Faculty of Otto von Guericke University, represents the UNIVERSITÄTSMEDIZIN MAGDEBURG. With around 1,100 beds in 27 clinics and 28 institutes and associated departments, it is the largest healthcare facility in northern Saxony-Anhalt and, in addition to research and teaching, offers the entire spectrum of multi-professional and highly specialized university maximum care.
These are your tasks:
1. operation & administration of the network infrastructure
* Operation and continuous development of the entire UKMD network environment (Core, Distribution, Access, DataCenter, WAN, branch offices)
* Administration of central network components (switches, routers, firewalls, WLAN controllers, access points, VPN gateways, TACACS, internal CA, Cisco ISE, DNA-Center, SD-Access)
* Implementation, documentation and quality assurance of all changes in accordance with ITIL (change, incident, problem and configuration management)
2. network security & KRITIS
* Operation and monitoring of perimeter firewalls (Palo Alto) and internal segmentation firewalls
* Further development of network segmentation (SDA, VLAN design, microsegmentation)
* Operation and hardening of the NAC infrastructure (Cisco ISE, 802.1X, MAB)
* Operation of the internal certification authority (PKI) to secure network-related services
* Implementation of security and documentation requirements in accordance with KRITIS, BSI and ISO 27001
3. operation of LAN, WLAN, SD-Access, monitoring & projects
* You are responsible for the operational, secure and stable operation of our clinical network infrastructure
* Ensuring the trouble-free operation of LAN, WLAN and SD-Access (incl. guest internet, AP/controller troubleshooting, fabric operation)
* Operation and further development of our monitoring and alerting systems (PRTG, DNA Assurance, ISE Telemetry) and creation of technical analyses and reports
* Collaboration on network lifecycle measures as well as infrastructure and new build projects at University Medicine
* Development of automation scripts and tools (Python, Ansible, REST-API), e.g. for switchport documentation, config compliance or AP inventory
* Close collaboration with IT security, medical technology, server operations and other technical areas
4. support & operational activities
* Operational tasks such as patching, client onboarding, VLAN assignments and port analysis
* 2nd/3rd level support for network faults
* Support for network connection of clinical and medical devices
What you bring with you:
* Several years of professional experience in the network sector (LAN / WAN / WLAN, firewalls, NAC)
* Very good knowledge of Cisco networks, ideally SD-Access, DNA-Center and ISE
* Experience in dealing with firewall systems, ideally Palo Alto
* Routine in troubleshooting complex network and security issues
* Experience with ITIL processes, KRITIS requirements or ISO 27001 an advantage
* Analytical way of working, reliability and sense of responsibility

Remuneration: You can expect a performance-related salary depending on the tasks assigned and fulfillment of the personal requirements up to pay grade E 11 according to the in-house collective agreement of the University Hospital Magdeburg A.ö.R.

Staffing: The position is to be filled immediately, full-time (38.5 hrs/week) and for an indefinite period.
