About SpiNNcloud
SpiNNcloud is a deep-tech company building next-generation HPC and AI
infrastructure for a world where brute-force compute is reaching its limits. Our chip and
system architecture are designed to exploit sparsity at scale, focusing compute where
it matters most while eliminating unnecessary computation everywhere else.
SpiNNcloud delivers orders-of-magnitude gains in performance and efficiency, laying
the foundation for what’s next in AI and HPC.
About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Product - HPC Applications & Solvers to define how SpiNNcloud’s
architecture translates into production-grade engineering solutions.
This is a senior, cross-functional leadership role at the intersection of HPC, engineering
design, and product strategy. A core focus of this role will be FEM and the maturation of
SpiNNcloud’s solver capabilities into production-ready products with clear
performance and efficiency advantages. At the same time, this role requires a broader
understanding of adjacent CAE and HPC workloads, and how SpiNNcloud can expand
over time into areas such as CFD, multiphysics, and other advanced engineering
applications.
You will work closely across product, engineering, and commercial teams to define
where SpiNNcloud can create differentiated value, how that value is translated into
product decisions, and how SpiNNcloud becomes a credible and compelling solution
for teams developing and optimizing complex systems.
What You Will Do
~ Lead technical discovery with customers, understanding their workflows,
requirements, and constraints, and translating these into product decisions
~ Translate real-world engineering workflows into product direction, roadmap
priorities, and solution strategy
~ Define how SpiNNcloud integrates into the broader engineering stack, including:
Pre-processing and meshing
Solvers and coupled workflows
Orchestration, scheduling, and cluster environmentso Post-processing and visualization
~ Evaluate opportunities to expand SpiNNcloud’s product footprint across
adjacent CAE and HPC workloads over time
~ Make and drive decisions around build vs partner vs ecosystem for solver
capabilities and supporting technologies
~ Identify gaps in current industry approaches and define where SpiNNcloud can
deliver differentiated value through solver performance, efficiency, and system-level
innovation
~ Develop benchmarking strategies and evaluation frameworks aligned with real
customer workloads and decision criteria
~ Shape SpiNNcloud’s technical narrative, positioning, and messaging for
engineering workloads
~ Act as a trusted advisor to customers and partners on engineering workloads
and HPC product strategy
What We Are Looking For
• Deep experience in CAE and HPC applications for engineering design, with
strong familiarity in FEM and related workflows
• Broad understanding of adjacent domains such as CFD, multiphysics,
structural, thermal, and coupled workflows
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end engineering workflow, from use case
definition through pre-processing, meshing, solvers, and post-processing
• Practical experience with the industrial software ecosystem, including tools
such as Ansys, Siemens Simcenter, Altair HyperWorks, Dassault SIMULIA, or
equivalent
• Experience working directly with customers to understand requirements, lead
technical discussions, and shape solutions
• Strong understanding of benchmarking, workload characterization, and
performance evaluation in real-world environments
• Ability to connect use cases, solver capabilities, and system architecture into a
coherent product vision
• Strong product thinking, with the ability to translate technical depth into
roadmap decisions and differentiated offerings
• Excellent communication skills across technical teams, business stakeholders,
and executive leadership
Ideal Background
• Product leader, applications leader, or domain expert from:
CAE or engineering software companies
HPC vendors or infrastructure providers
OEMs or Tier 1 engineering organizations
• Experience owning or contributing to solver development, deployment, or
productization
• Background in customer-facing technical roles such as applications
engineering, solutions architecture, or field engineering
• Experience working with customers in aerospace, automotive, manufacturing,
or energy
• Strong grasp of both the technology stack and the real-world use of engineering
tools in production environments
