We are seeking a skilled professional to join our molecular diagnostics department. The ideal candidate will take a patient-centred approach, offering high-quality, personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work in the molecular biology department of infectious diseases
* Ensure sample reception and processing
* Perform nucleic acid extraction, DNA quantification, and PCR
* Analyse results
* Operate partially and fully automated laboratory equipment
* Work independently and adhere to established protocols
* Maintain and supervise laboratory equipment
* Prepare and update SOPs, forms, and procedures for specific equipment
* Utilise laboratory software (equipment, laboratory information system, document management)
* Order reagents and consumables for smooth service operation
* Conduct inter-laboratory tests for various parameters
* Assist Head of Department/Deputy Head of Department in audits (internal and external)
* Maintain laboratory premises
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Training as a medical-technical assistant, laboratory technician, or graduate biologist
* Professional recognition and authorisation to work in Luxembourg
* Experience in molecular biology, particularly PCR is an advantage
* Experience in quality management (ISO15189) is an asset
* Good knowledge of English and French; German is desirable
* Proficiency in MS-Office and laboratory software is advantageous
* Availability, initiative, and creativity in tackling new challenges
* Flexibility and efficiency
* Ability to work in a structured, autonomous, and responsible manner
* Open-mindedness and willingness to work in a team
