<p>Role Summary</p><p>As Circle Lead for Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems, you will be responsible for driving the growth, commercial success, and operational excellence of a rapidly expanding business area. This leadership role combines strategic planning, team development, business expansion, and commercial ownership to strengthen market position and accelerate long-term growth.</p><p>You will oversee a team of specialists, guide the development of large-scale energy storage opportunities, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful utility-scale projects.</p><p>Your Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead the Utility BESS division both strategically and operationally, including disciplinary and functional management of the team.</li><li>Define and execute the sales and business development strategy for the utility-scale BESS market (e.g., utilities, IPPs, project developers).</li><li>Manage and prioritize the entire project portfolio based on profitability, risk, and strategic relevance.</li><li>Drive the acquisition of large-scale projects and develop long-term relationships with executive-level stakeholders.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Finance to establish efficient and scalable proposal and delivery processes.</li><li>Take full responsibility for cost calculations, pricing strategy, and proposal quality within the Utility segment.</li><li>Analyze market, technology, and competitive trends and derive actionable growth initiatives.</li><li>Represent the company at industry conferences, trade fairs, and key stakeholder meetings.</li><li>Establish and continuously improve processes, standards, and tools to increase efficiency, quality, and win rates.</li></ul><p>Education</p><p>Bachelors, Diploma, or Masters degree in:</p><ul><li>Electrical Engineering</li><li>Energy Engineering</li><li>Industrial Engineering</li><li>Renewable Energy</li><li>Or a related technical field</li></ul><p>Professional Experience</p><ul><li>Minimum 15 years of professional experience preferred.</li><li>5–10 years of leadership experience.</li><li>Approximately 5 years of experience in renewable energy and/or BESS.</li><li>Demonstrated responsibility for revenues in the range of €30–50 million.</li><li>Proven success leading complex sales, project, or business organizations.</li><li>Strong knowledge of utility-scale battery storage systems, energy infrastructure, or renewable energy markets.</li></ul><p>Technical Expertise</p><p>Deep understanding of:</p><ul><li>Utility-scale BESS solutions</li><li>Energy markets and grid services</li><li>System sizing and design</li><li>Revenue stacking models</li><li>FCR (Frequency Containment Reserve)</li><li>aFRR (Automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve)</li><li>CAPEX/OPEX optimization</li><li>Regulatory frameworks affecting energy storage</li></ul><p>Travel & Mobility</p><ul><li>Regular business travel is expected, averaging approximately 50% of working time.</li><li>Travel may include customer meetings, supplier visits, project sites, and industry events.</li></ul><p>Working Arrangement</p><ul><li>Flexible hybrid working model available.</li><li>Regular on-site collaboration is expected, typically several days per week.</li></ul><p><br></p>
