Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Working knowledge of a specific area of research, especially in the field of liquid food formulations
2. Defining and executing work breakdown structure to achieve project objectives and deliverables with limited supervision
3. Acting as experiment/workstream lead/risk owner for project objectives
4. Perform specialized and skilled tasks, data analysis and interpretation, documentation
5. Good record-keeping
6. Implementing new technologies to improve project design and execution
7. Managing lab supplies and equipment
8. Generating and advancing new research ideas to project status through a phase-gated project management process
9. Actively participating in laboratory safety programs
10. Sharing and continuing to develop technical expertise by serving as a subject matter expert for current tasks, developing new knowledge & skills to deliver on project objectives, assisting with skill development, mentoring/advising junior scientists, interfacing with colleagues/specialists on multidisciplinary and cross-organizational teams
11. Exploring key areas beyond the immediate research goals of the projects
Communication
12. Technically-focused communications to project and group leaders within R&D and other departments
13. Prepare clear and concise presentations to audience with varied backgrounds
14. Writes scientific reports and registration documents as needed
Profile
15. You have successfully completed a master's degree or PhD in the field of food technology, process engineering, materials science or similar and have already gained 3 to 5 years professional experience in the food industry, preferably also in the pharmaceutical or cosmetics industry
16. You have a passion for innovative solutions and are not afraid to go different ways
17. You are enthusiastic about innovations and trends and enjoy working in a solution- and implementation-oriented manner
18. You are a team player and enjoy working on projects, have high social skills, service orientation and strong communication skills
19. You have an independent, analytical and effective way of working
20. You feel comfortable in a dynamic, international environment and enjoy building partnerships, as well as cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration
21. You are familiar with the common IT programs and have a certain affinity for IT
22. You speak very good English and have a good knowledge of German and enjoy intercultural cooperation
