We are looking for a Team Lead Maintenance (m/f/d) to join our team. The Team Lead Maintenance is responsible for leading all operational maintenance activities at the site, ensuring high technical availability, safety, and GMP-compliant operation of buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and production-related equipment. The role focuses on preventive, proactive, and corrective maintenance, with most planned maintenance activities executed by external service providers. The position owns the planning, commissioning, coordination, supervision, and documentation of maintenance activities, including GMP-relevant records, deviations, and follow-up actions. In addition, the role manages the on-site maintenance team, prioritizes technical requests from all departments, and monitors maintenance-related budgets and service costs. Capital projects and major engineering initiatives remain outside the scope of this role. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all on‑site maintenance activities, serving as the main contact for technical and facility-related topics. Develop and improve preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure high reliability and safety of buildings, utilities, and equipment. Manage scheduled maintenance, inspections, and legal checks performed by external service providers—including planning, supervision, and final quality approval. Ensure all maintenance work meets GMP, safety, and site standards, with accurate and complete documentation. Handle GMP‑relevant maintenance documentation (deviations, CAPA, audit prep) in close collaboration with QA and Manufacturing. Prioritize and resolve reactive maintenance and technical support requests quickly and efficiently. Monitor maintenance budgets, service contracts, and external costs, and identify optimization opportunities. Lead and develop the on‑site maintenance team, fostering a proactive and service‑oriented work culture. Qualifications Completed technical vocational training or similar qualification (e.g., electrical, mechanical, industrial or facility maintenance). Several years of experience in operational maintenance, ideally in an industrial or regulated environment. Proven experience coordinating external contractors and maintenance activities. First leadership experience or senior‑level maintenance responsibility is an advantage. Strong technical know‑how in facility, utility, and production‑support systems. Good understanding of GMP requirements related to maintenance and documentation. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment. Cost awareness and experience handling maintenance‑related budgets. Clear, solution‑oriented communication style and strong service mindset. Fluent German; English skills are an asset.
