Beyond product development, you will take ownership of ouru202fData Governance strategy,u202fData Modeling activities, and the overall implementation of enterprise-grade solutions foru202fdata cataloging, lineage, governance, and quality management. Join us and play a key role in driving our organization's data excellence. This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 2-3 days per week on site. Tasks & responsibilities In your new role, you will lead cross-functional teams as product managers, engineers, and data architects to deliver scalable solutions. You will define and execute the roadmap for the Data Governance Catalog and Data Quality Management platforms, usingu202fCollibrau202fand Ataccama ecosystems to ensure seamless integration. As a key driver, you will shape enterprise-wide Data Governance frameworks, policies, and standards to manage data across approximately 40 domains. By chairing the Data Committee and Data Domain Forum, you will foster alignment and accelerate decision-making to deliver impactful results. Working closely with IT, analytics, and compliance teams, you will ensure governance is seamlessly integrated into solution design and delivery. Leading cross-functional teams and leveraging agile methodologies will empower you to create scalable, future-ready solutions. Through exploration of emerging technologies such as agentic AI, metadata-driven automation, and data mesh architectures, you will keep innovation at the forefront and drive transformative change. Requirements Masteru00b4s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent Long-term experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Modeling, and Enterprise Data Management Ability to lead product and engineering teams in a matrixed environment Familiarity with pharma/life sciences regulations (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and exposure to cloud-native architectures and API-driven integration Proven track record in building software products for data cataloging, lineage, governance, and quality Hands-on expertise with Collibra, Ataccama, and related data governance tools In-depth knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and data integration Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills combined with deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) Ready to contact us?u202f If you have any questions about the job posting or process - please contact our HR Direct Team, Tel: 49 (0) 6132 77-3330 or via mail: hr.de@boehringer-ingelheim.com Recruitment process: Step 1: Online application - The job posting is presumably online until March 3rd, 2026.
