We are driven by our core values: respect, innovation, and collaboration. The Billing / Revenue Manager is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for leveraging their knowledge and experience of generally accepted billing and revenue management procedures and policy to contribute and support the firm’s revenue management objectives, as well as overseeing the end-to-end billing process in the German offices, including billing and collection efforts. This role will be located in our Frankfurt office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Other key responsibilities include: Acting as a subject matter expert to billing attorneys, senior office, department leadership, and the Finance CommitteeCoordinating with the Global Billing team to implement and administer firmwide billing and inventory management best practices and procedures, and roll-outs of new software and financial system upgradesProviding interpretation, guidance, and assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and staff regarding all aspects of the firm''s billing and collections processesActing as a liaison with local Finance Committee members in support of Finance Committee objectives, facilitating the preparation and participation of Finance Committee calls, and facilitating any actionable next steps resulting from calls, in close coordination with the Global Finance Department team supporting the CommitteeMaintaining a continuing review of revenue-related procedures to assess areas for improved efficiency and resource allocation, and proactively suggesting new processes and solutions as needed to achieve the firm’s financial business objectives We’d love to hear from you if you: Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmExhibit excellent leadership skills (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective managementPossess the ability to perceive and analyze problems, with the capacity to make or recommend sound decisions, as well as work in a team environment with a customer-service focus And have: Significant experience in complex accounting, including experience in law firm billing processes and practices, preferablyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in German and EnglishA bachelor''s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, preferablySuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
