The story centers around four characters in a mysterious research facility, where realism collides with surreal imagery. Stylistically, the film moves between chamber drama, psychological science fiction, and emotional character study. Inspirations include the works of Stanley Kubrick, Alex Garland, and Denis Villeneuve.A special feature of this production is the unusually large crew for a short film — over twenty professionals — and a close collaboration with major equipment rental houses and Sony. The film will be shot using two of the new Sony Venice 2 cameras and additional high-end cinema equipment.Director’s Statement:The idea for this project originates from a long-maturing memory. Through this story, I aim to delve deep into the human psyche and explore the boundary between technology and consciousness. The film is both a narrative and technical experiment — just like the experiment within the story itself.My goal is to push creative boundaries using cutting-edge technology, while creating an on-set environment where everyone feels safe, inspired, and valued. It is important to me that cast and crew are part of a collaborative, creative flow that fuels the process throughout the shoot.Casting Breakdown1. MAY QUINN (playing age: 28–32)Quiet, intelligent researcher; the classic introvert. May is conscientious, sensitive, and a daydreamer. He only opens up to Victor. Wears old-fashioned clothes (shirts and ties), maintains good posture. Note: This role requires subtle emotional range and controlled performance. Facial expression is key.2. VICTOR RAZEM (playing age: 28–32)Tall, charismatic, outgoing. Victor is career-focused, rational, and emotionally intelligent. Playfully teases May, but deeply loyal. Dressed in suits and Oxford shoes. Note: Great for actors with presence, charm, and contrast range.3. LOLA QUINN (The Young Woman) (playing age: 25–29)A surreal presence, dressed in white and covered in blood. She is the wife of the Old Scientist. Completely silent throughout the film, moving with eerie precision and intensity. Note: Nonverbal role – requires expressive physicality. Dance or movement background preferred.4. DOCTOR IAN ARRONSON (The Old Man) (playing age: 68)Calm, neutral, wise. The symbolic center of the story. Always speaks in a low voice using almost legalistic language. Wears an elegant white coat.
