Overview Solution Architect - Marketing Cloud role at Salesforce. Location: Germany, office flex based. Responsibilities Advise, design, and lead the transformation of cloud-based marketing solutions. Engage with clients to architect scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance customer engagement and drive business value. Design and oversee the implementation of technology solutions that meet business needs, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into robust technical architectures using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and Personalization. Work with Delivery Managers, Technical Architects, and Account Teams to ensure seamless integration and long-term scalability. Take a hands-on approach when needed, including design and implementation of technical solutions and leading development efforts. Provide big-picture strategic thinking while solving complex problems across Salesforce platforms, APIs, data integration, marketing automation, analytics, and personalization technologies. Serve as a strategic advisor to Salesforce Professional Services colleagues and enterprise customers, guiding technology strategy and implementation plans. Key Experiences Solution Design & Architecture: Designing scalable, integrated solutions across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Data Cloud, Datorama, and Interaction Studio. Customer Journey Orchestration: Journey Builder, segmentation strategies, and omnichannel marketing execution. Data Management & Integration: Data Extensions, SQL, APIs, and integrating Salesforce with external systems. Personalization & AI: Interaction Studio (Personalization) and using tools to enable real-time customer experiences. Analytics & Insights: Marketing performance analytics, dashboards, data visualization; knowledge of Tableau and Datorama is a plus. Stakeholder Management: Communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. Governance and Best Practices: Establishing guidelines and compliance requirements for implementation. Minimum Requirements 5+ years of experience in Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platforms, and Digital Analytics. Deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Datorama, and Interaction Studio (Personalization). High-level knowledge of ETL processes, data pipelines, and marketing analytics tools. Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant) are a plus. Excellent communication skills in German and English. Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Problem-solving mindset and strategic thinking. Knowledge of security, compliance, and industry best practices. Detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies. Strong written and verbal communication; ability to develop audience-appropriate materials. Experience with large-scale/enterprise implementations with multiple work streams. Strong listening and communication skills across diverse roles. Resourceful and entrepreneurial mindset; ability to solve problems. Travel up to 20-30% may be required; exact travel varies by customer. Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Preferred Requirements Validated results delivering high-value business outcomes using agile methods. Proven track record of customer and/or partner success stories.
