Role Summary
This is a remote-first position with a significant international travel requirement. You should expect to travel between 50–60% of the time to support our global operations in countries including France, China, Germany, India, Morocco, the UK, Tunisia, and the USA, depending on project needs.
We are seeking an experienced Configuration Lead to drive the successful configuration, customization, and enterprise-wide rollout of our Digital Twin platform. You will lead the technical configuration of scalable digital twin models that mirror physical assets, processes, and systems in real time. This role is critical in translating business and operational requirements into robust, high-performance digital twin configurations that deliver predictive insights, operational optimization, and reduced downtime.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in digital twin configuration, real-time data integration, and large-scale system deployments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end configuration and rollout of Digital Twin solutions (including ScaleTwin/ScaleOut or equivalent platforms) for multiple enterprise clients or internal business units.
* Design, build, and maintain scalable digital twin models for thousands of entities (assets, machines, processes, or supply chain components), incorporating real-time telemetry from IoT sensors, SCADA, historians, and enterprise systems.
* Gather and translate functional & technical requirements from stakeholders (operations, engineering, data science) into configurable twin parameters, rules, behaviors, state management, and simulation scenarios.
* Configure integration layers between digital twins and core systems (ERP, MES, PLM, AWS/Azure IoT, Kafka, MQTT, etc.).
* Develop and enforce configuration standards, templates, versioning, and governance processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines for twin model updates and changes while minimizing production impact.
* Perform performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting for high-volume deployments (handling millions of state updates per minute).
* Lead configuration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live support, and hyper-care phases.
* Create detailed configuration documentation, playbooks, and training materials; conduct knowledge transfer sessions for client or internal operations teams.
* Mentor and guide a team of configuration analysts/engineers.
* Identify risks, dependencies, and continuous improvement opportunities in the rollout process.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* 7+ years of experience in system configuration, implementation, or deployment roles, with at least 3–4 years focused on Digital Twin, IoT, simulation, or real-time analytics platforms.
* Proven track record leading configuration and rollout of large-scale Digital Twin or similar solutions (e.g., ScaleOut Digital Twin, Siemens, GE, NVIDIA Omniverse-based, or custom IIoT platforms).
* Strong hands-on experience with:
* Real-time data streaming and integration (Kafka, MQTT, OPC UA)
* IoT platforms and cloud services (AWS IoT, Azure Digital Twins, Google Cloud IoT)
* In-memory computing, rules engines, and stateful modeling
* Configuration management best practices and tools
* Experience in Airline, manufacturing, logistics, energy, or asset-intensive industries is highly preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science), Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
* Familiarity with ScaleTwin / ScaleOut Digital Twin Streaming Service or similar in-memory digital twin frameworks.
* Proficiency in scripting (Python, SQL, Java) for automation of configurations.
* Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and change management.
* Certifications in Digital Twin, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or IIoT platforms are advantageous.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
* Ability to travel occasionally for client deployments (if applicable).
