For mid-sized companies, knowledge is the last real competitive lever. Yet knowledge gets stuck in tools and SharePoint folders — or disappears when experts leave. While IT is still planning, employees are already using ChatGPT and the like — without governance, and sensitive data is leaking out.
With the Knowledge Bots platform, Blockbrain creates what companies truly need: AI-powered knowledge management that is quick to implement, flexibly scales, and operates in a compliant manner. Teams use our GenAI building blocks to build tailored AI assistants, agents, and workflows in minutes — just like Lego.
Series A funded with strong growth momentum (10x product usage & 5x revenue in 2025)

You’ll work across our engineering organization. In areas like Agents, Knowledge, Enterprise, or Mobile - taking meaningful, sometimes ambiguously defined problems from understanding through implementation to production monitoring. You’ll own problems end-to-end, make technical decisions within your scope, and use coding agents as a core part of how you build. Not as a novelty, but as a multiplier for speed, quality, and technical depth.
Own problems end-to-end: Understand the why before touching the code, ship robust solutions with tests and observability, and follow through in production.
Make sound technical decisions: Choose the right approach within your scope and stand behind it.
Write strong code reviews: Catch real issues such as logic errors, missing edge cases, weak abstractions, and technical debt early.
Surface risk proactively: Identify technical risks before they turn into incidents or product issues.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to turn ambiguous requirements into clear solutions.
Mentor other engineers: Support Junior and Mid-Level Engineers with concrete, actionable feedback on real work.
Contribute to operational excellence: Participate in incident reviews and help turn learnings into lasting improvements.
Use AI as part of the workflow: Leverage AI tools and coding agents to structure work, accelerate implementation, and improve documentation and code quality.
Several years of experience in product-focused software engineering, ideally in complex, distributed, or fast-moving environments.
Strong TypeScript experience: You feel at home in TypeScript monorepos and build maintainable, production-ready software.
Pragmatic Python knowledge: You use Python where it adds value.
Solid infrastructure mindset: You are comfortable with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and Infrastructure as Code.
Distributed systems thinking: You understand event-driven architectures, scalable services, and cloud-native patterns.
Production-minded: “Merged” does not mean “done” — you care about observability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Technically decisive and honest about complexity: You clarify unclear requirements early and communicate trade-offs clearly.
Genuinely curious about AI systems: You’re interested in agent runtimes, workflow orchestration, retrieval pipelines, and tool use — and you’re open to using AI daily as a co-pilot.
Flexible Work Models: Full-time position on-site in Stuttgart (3 days per week) with flexible working hours.
Benefits: Deutschland-Ticket, Wellpass fitness membership, access to the latest AI tools, and regular company and team off-sites.
Top Team: International team with exceptional talents.
High Growth Potential: Steep learning curve in a fast-growing AI startup. A high level of personal responsibility and the freedom to actively shape processes.
Top Equipment: MacBook, iPhone, headset, and all the tools you need to perform at your best.
