The
Technical Sales Specialist
will be responsible for achieving business targets, through sales development, channel management and field marketing programs, for the PerkinElmer Perten Food portfolio - in particular to promote the NIR process solutions. Video
The main territory to be covered is DACH, Poland and BNL and collaborating with colleagues and distributors there.
Responsibilities
* Competes for all Food sales opportunities throughout the territory.
* Builds and maintains strong customer and distributor relationships.
* Constantly attempts to secure business in new accounts and follows customer account receivables.
* Provides accurate monthly forecasting, updates and next steps within SFDC on a weekly basis as well as timely, accurate and competitive pricing to customers, and submit internal approvals.
* Attends seminars, exhibitions and demonstrations to promote business
* Maintains knowledge of PerkinElmer products, as well as knowledge of competitors' products, prepares, documents and updates PerkinElmer presentation aids accordingly.
* Develop close working relationships with internal parties: Field Applications Specialists and Field Service Engineers
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, preferably in Food Science.
* Strong understanding of food production and processing.
* Experience of automation or digitalization of production processes advantageous.
* Previous sales experience preferred
* Results driven, energetic, effective, a self-starter with a strong motivation for sales.
* Excellent in verbal and written communication and presentation skills and able to excel in an international sales environment.
* Channel management / distributor sales experience advantageous.
* Independent, with good organizational and team working skills, driving you to continuously seek new opportunities
* Flexible, able to communicate with colleagues and customers, willingness to travel across the DACHP and BNL territory.
* Desire to learn, grow and take the lead in a sales role within a fast-paced matrix organization.
* Willingness to travel is essential up to 50%+
* Current Driving licence
