We are an independent game studio developing a new strategy roguelike title and are looking for a passionate Community Manager to help us build, support, and engage our player community. If the idea of working on a roguelike closely with its community excites you (speaking with players every day, gathering insights, and turning their feedback into real impact) and you want to build a passionate community from the ground up, then we’d love to meet you! You’ll work alongside a highly experienced and driven team with leadership backgrounds on titles such as Hearthstone, and you’ll have the opportunity to build a thriving community while growing your skills and career within a very ambitious indie studio. The position is initially defined as a 50% Community Management role. We are open to expanding it to a full‑time position if you also bring experience in Social Media Management and Content Creation. Our studio is based in Munich, Germany, and the role can be filled remotely, hybrid, or on‑site. Responsibilities Build and grow a community from the ground up around an evolving demo. Handle community interactions on Discord and communicate directly with players. Respond to comments and player queries in a timely manner. Support the development team by gathering, structuring, and reporting player feedback. Build, foster, and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Moderate discussions and enforce community guidelines consistently. Proactively suggest new ideas to grow, engage, and support the community. Experience & Requirements Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in community management within the gaming industry. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Passion for video games, ideally roguelikes, deckbuilders and auto‑battlers. Strong understanding of community platforms (Discord & Reddit). Bonus: Strong understanding of social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). Bonus: A strong personal social presence that demonstrates experience in building and managing a community.
