Your Tasks
As a Design Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the detailed mechanical design and layout of our subsea products – from initial concept to production-ready models.
You are passionate about precise CAD design, robust mechanical solutions, and manufacturability.
Your work bridges the gap between concept engineering and production, ensuring that our designs meet both performance and manufacturing requirements.
Your Responsibilities
* Detailed mechanical design of components and assemblies (e.g., subsea housings, sensor integration, mechanical design, sealing interfaces, etc.)
* Creation of 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs
* Responsibility for Design-for-Manufacturing (DfM) and Design-for-Assembly (DfA)
* Support in the selection of materials and manufacturing processes
* Participation in prototyping, assembly, and testing activities
* Collaboration with Mechanical, Electronics, SW and System Engineering
* Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and production data
* Support during design validation and series release
Your Profile
* Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field
* Proven experience in mechanical design and 3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or equivalent)
* Strong understanding of technical drawings, tolerancing, and manufacturing standards
* Knowledge of sealing, fastening and connection design principles is a plus. Especially in the context of subsea technology
* Experience with prototyping and mechanical system assembly
* Precise, quality-driven, and independent working style
* Team-oriented mindset and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
* Fluent English (German is a plus)
