A Snapshot of Your Day
As Head of Service and Digital (f/m/d), you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation in the energy sector. Your day involves close collaboration with regional teams and both execution unit Service and Digital Grid to expand our Service and Digital portfolio, introducing groundbreaking technologies to the market. You'll lead critical initiatives to define go-to-market strategies, shape customer-centric value propositions, and support technical sales engagements. By translating market needs into portfolio direction and guiding product development, you'll help craft the future of digital energy solutions and deliver measurable impact in the energy transition.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Understand and consolidate market needs for portfolio development
2. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and driven dynamics to see opportunities and gaps.
3. Act as a subject matter expert in one or more Digital Grid MI portfolio areas, supporting pre-sales discussions and product demonstrations.
4. Serve as the voice of the customer in product development, feeding global needs and insights into PLM processes.
5. Support product verification and validation, and run pilot projects with regional and execution teams.
6. Define go-to-market and plan sales penetration including successful commercialization strategies
7. Lead the development of global go-to-market strategies based on channel and value proposition.
8. Structure and guide sales activities for the Service and Digital Grid portfolio across regions.
9. Support case development with market data, value potential, and profitability assessments.
10. Promote Siemens Energy's innovations through participation in conferences, fairs, and roadshows.
11. Define and plan knowledge distribution among the sales teams
12. Develop and deliver technical sales materials, training concepts, and enablement content aligned with internal knowledge frameworks.
13. Coordinate with PLM, marketing, engineering, and sales to ensure consistent messaging and sales readiness.
14. Customer interaction including development of co-creation
15. Build strong relationships with customers and partners to develop trust and long-term collaboration.
16. Collaborate with customers to co-create tailored solutions that support portfolio evolution.
17. Translate complex technical requirements into actionable solutions that resonate with customer needs.
18. Build strong 2nd line technical support
19. Provide technical guidance and consulting for Digital Grid products to internal and external partners.
20. Support proposal creation with detailed technical input and ensure alignment with execution units.
21. Help optimize grid performance and value creation through expert support and solution design.
What You Bring
* A degree in engineering, science, or an MBA with a focus on energy or automation technology or equivalent experience, is advantageous.
* Long term professional experience in sales, business development, service business, and digitalization within the energy or industrial sector.
* Experience in consultative selling in B2B environments, with a strong understanding of grid technologies, grid resilience, energy automation, edge technologies, and cybersecurity.
* Proven leadership experience in multi-disciplinary teams within matrixed and international organizations.
* Ability to develop compelling value propositions and communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
* Entrepreneurial approach with a passion for spotting future trends and translating them into business opportunities.
* Strong presentation and moderation skills, with fluency in English; additional languages such as German, Spanish, or French are a plus.
