Moving Mountains Together as Principal Research Scientist II (All Genders) - Permanent / Full-Time
As a discipline expert and contact, you will drive functional performance by designing and implementing studies aimed at new or improved products. You will provide technical leadership for a group of scientists and engineers to meet program and department objectives.
Your Responsibilities:
* Develop and achieve discipline strategy in alignment with functional goals and key scientific objectives.
* Collaborate with experts within the function to integrate scientific objectives into activities related to the development of new or improved products or technologies.
* Advance scientific expertise within the function. Proactively advise and share knowledge with subordinates, peers, and senior management. Mentor and train colleagues, and assess current and emerging business challenges to enable goal achievement.
* Ensure quality and effectiveness of key results in major project plans through sound design, early risk assessments, and fallback strategies.
* Source and identify emerging scientific trends from internal and external sources and assess their relevance. Integrate trends into short-term objectives. Advance technology and direction within your discipline.
* Apply imagination and innovation by creating, inventing, and implementing new or improved approaches and breakthrough ideas valued by customers.
* Present scientific concepts and results to both scientific and non-scientific leaders, as well as potential and existing partners, to maximize impact and value.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Science with 16 years of related experience; Master's Degree in Science or PharmD with 14 years; PhD in Science or related field with 8 years.
* Experience with Oral Solid Dosage preferred.
* Proven ability to innovate with a track record of new or improved product releases.
* Fluent in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally.
