What You'll Do:
Financial Operations Excellence
* Accounts Receivable Management: Maintain customer master data, monitor credit limits, manage collection processes, and ensure accurate account reconciliations
* Accounts Payable Operations: Process incoming invoices efficiently, create electronic payment runs, and maintain vendor account reconciliation
* Payment Processing: Handle all incoming and outgoing payments across multiple channels (bank transfers, cash, credit card transactions)
Strategic Financial Support
* Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements under German HGB standards and contribute to month-end/ year end closing processes
* Assure local German Compliance
* Corporate Reporting: Input financial results into corporate databases and support group reporting requirements
Specialized Operations
* Customs & Trade: Review customs notifications and manage post-clearance documentation processes
* Expense Management: Verify and process employee travel expenses with attention to policy compliance
* SOX Compliance: Prepare documentation and provide support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
Communication & Collaboration
* Stakeholder Relations: Maintain professional correspondence with internal customers and tax consultants in both German and English, in a matrix setup
* Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with various departments and regions (US, Asia, EU) to ensure smooth financial operations

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills
* Strong background and studies in Accounting and finance operations
* At least 7-10 years working in a similar role
* Proficiency in German and English (written and verbal)
* Experience with accounts receivable/payable processes
* Knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
* Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
* Advanced Excel and financial software skills ( eg. SAGE, QAD)
Great to have:
* Experience with SOX compliance
* Previous work in a multicultural, industrial environment
