Join our START IN Coatings Trainee Program – IT and become part of our international trainee community. As a trainee, you’ll embark on an exciting 18- to 24-month journey, gaining hands-on experience and insights across various business, manufacturing, and functional areas within BASF Coatings. You’ll have the chance to build a broad professional network and develop your skills in a supportive, collaborative and international environment.
You’ll actively contribute to the development and ongoing optimization of our IT landscape, with SAP as our ERP system and additional digital solutions at local, regional, and global levels.
In Application Management units you’ll evaluate, commission, and coordinate project ideas from key users to ensure smooth implementation as part of your daily tasks. Also, the maintenance of existing applications will be part of your tasks here.
This experience will ideally prepare you for your future target role in our Digital Solutions & IT Architecture unit, which we’ll define together with you.
In line with our travel guidelines, a three- to six-month international assignment is an integral part of the program.
successfully completed master’s degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, Economics with an IT focus, or a comparable field
initial practical experience in project management
prior knowledge of agile working methods such as SCRUM or Design Thinking
international experience, for example through an internship or a semester abroad
basic understanding of SAP (FIORI, API, etc.)
basic knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, ABAP, or Python is an advantage
fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is highly desirable
