The Social Media Specialist manages easycosmetic's social media channels operationally and independently. The clear focus lies on the creation, planning, and publishing of content – particularly video formats.
The role also includes appearing as the face in front of the camera and actively contributing to content development. A central component of this position is the setup and launch of new country-specific channels as well as the management of UGC creator relationships.
Important: This role requires a high level of ownership, process discipline, and structured working methods. We work in an agile, ticket-based environment – Jira is not optional, but the central management tool for all tasks.
Your Responsibilities:
* Operational responsibility for our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) – from idea to publication
* Independent conception and production of video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, feed posts) – including appearances in front of the camera
* Creation of high-performing creatives using common design, video, and AI tools to optimize hooks, storytelling structure, and visual quality
* Trend scouting and format development – identifying relevant trends and translating them into the easycosmetic brand world
* Planning, structuring, and scheduling content, as well as maintaining clean process management using our planning tools
* Building and managing UGC creator collaborations – creating briefings, aligning on content, ensuring quality, and evaluating results
* Independent boosting and performance optimization of posts via Meta Business Suite, including audience testing and budget management
* Analysis of reach, engagement, and paid performance, and deriving concrete optimization measures for content and campaigns
Your Profile
Must-Have
* At least 3 years of experience in operational social media management or content creation
* Experience in building and setting up social media channels (not only managing existing accounts)
* Very strong knowledge of Instagram and TikTok content (formats, trends, algorithm understanding)
* Confidence and enthusiasm for appearing in front of the camera and presenting content
* Experience with video and graphic tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop/Premiere, CapCut, or similar
* Proven experience in paid social / boosting via Meta Business Suite
* Confident use of AI tools for content creation (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Canva AI, or similar)
* Experience with planning tools such as Hootsuite, Later, or Buffer
* High level of process discipline and structured working style – experience with ticket systems (Jira, Asana, Monday, or similar) is required
* Creative instinct for visual language, hooks, and storytelling
* Good German skills (B1-B2); English skills are an advantage
* Reliability, ownership, and clear communication
Nice-to-Have
* Experience in UGC management and collaboration with content creators
* Knowledge of influencer marketing and the creator economy
* Experience with beauty, lifestyle, or e-commerce brands
* Basic knowledge of an additional European language (NL, FR, IT, PL)
* Experience with AI video tools such as Kling, Runway, or Pika

Instagram: Reels and feed algorithm, Optimal formats (9:16, 1:1, 4:5), Hook strategies for the first 3 seconds, Hashtag relevance, Best posting times
TikTok: For You Page algorithm, Trends and sounds, Native aesthetics vs. polished content, Watch-time optimization, Loop strategies
Facebook: Different distribution logic for Reels, Stories, and feed, Audience targeting, Paid vs. organic reach
You understand that a creative can be technically perfect, but without platform knowledge it will not perform.
