Unlocking Neurodegenerative Processes
About the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB)
The LCSB is an interdisciplinary research centre that conducts fundamental and translational research in Systems Biology and Biomedicine.
We focus on neurodegenerative processes, specifically Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, and their contributing factors.
Your Role
You will join our Chemical and Molecular Neurobiology group to investigate neuroimmune interactions and mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration.
Our research combines innovative approaches in protein engineering, microscopy, and chemical biology to address pressing questions in the field.
* How do ion channels, cytoskeletal dynamics, and axonal transport contribute to axonal injury and neurological diseases?
* What are the potential applications of bioorthogonal click chemistry-based labeling strategies in live-cell imaging, super-resolution microscopy, and cell-specific proteomics?
* How can we leverage chemical biology to understand communication between neurons, glial cells, and immune cells in health and disease?
* What molecular mechanisms drive neuroinflammation and axonal damage in multiple sclerosis?
