Join our Near Patient Program supporting the TRICARE Overseas mission - a unique opportunity to blend clinical expertise with international healthcare coordination across Europe. A dynamic nursing role with real autonomy, no night shifts, and meaningful international impact.
Key Responsibilities
As a Near Patient Nurse, you become the clinical bridge between European healthcare providers and U.S. military medical teams. You provide in-person patient support, coordinate medical updates, and ensure safe, high-quality care throughout the patient’s hospital stay.
Core responsibilities include:
1. Medical Case Management
2. Oversee and coordinate inpatient care for patients
3. Ensure clinical quality oversight and support a positive inpatient experience
4. Communication and Coordination
5. Communicate directly with local treating medical teams to obtain detailed medical updates
6. Provide English language status reports to military clinic staff
7. Facilitate smooth transitions of care upon hospital discharge back to the responsible military treatment facility
8. Patient Advocacy and Support
9. Ensure patients understand their treatment plans
10. Act as an intermediary between treating medical teams and patients, including language support where needed
11. Advocate for patients when necessary while maintaining strong relationships with local network healthcare providers
12. Direct Interaction
13. Deliver face-to-face support to beneficiaries during hospitalization
14. Build trust and foster positive relationships with both patients and healthcare providers
You will be supported by experienced leaders, including the Near Patient Nurse Lead and Near Patient Physician Lead, while still enjoying a high degree of independence and control over your daily work.

About You
18. Registered General Nurse (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience and registration to practice in Germany
19. Recognized qualification to minimum diploma level or equivalent experience (demonstrated through portfolio/CV)
20. Comfortable with technology and digital tools, including typing, MS Teams, and quickly learning and navigating new systems (e.g., CRM/Salesforce and other platforms)
21. Proficient in German and English (minimum B2 level)
22. Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
23. Must have own vehicle and a valid driver’s license with no restrictions
