Overview
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors at solar farm site. You will serve as the owner's representative, ensuring that projects are executed in alignment with contractual agreements, safety protocols, quality standards, and project schedules based on our Work Package Management (WPM) structure. Your role will involve meticulous monitoring, detailed reporting, and proactive issue resolution to foster seamless collaboration among all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Construction Oversight: Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, contractual requirements, environmental and safety regulations, and work package definitions.
* Coordination with Internal Project Managers: Provide ongoing support and coordination with internal project managers, serving as the on-site extension of the project management team.
* Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Management: Facilitate the identification, documentation, and resolution of NCRs, ensuring alignment with our quality standards and WPM framework.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of daily site activities, including work package progress, issues, and safety incidents. Prepare weekly progress reports and utilize our integrated software systems for accurate and transparent reporting.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate effective communication between EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Coordinate site visits and inspections with third-party consultants and local authorities.
* Compliance, Safety, and Lean Construction: Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, monitor site safety practices, and promote lean construction principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of solar farm construction, including civil, electrical, and mechanical components
* Proven experience in project management coordination, providing on-site support and ensuring alignment between field activities and project objectives
* Familiarity with lean construction principles and experience managing projects using Work Package Management frameworks
* Expertise in identifying, documenting, and resolving Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
* Proficiency in project management and construction software, particularly tools designed for WPM and lean workflows
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
* In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards
* Demonstrated ability to lead on-site activities, resolve issues proactively, and foster collaboration among diverse teams
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction site management, preferably in renewable energy or infrastructure projects
